For this year, D&TS is planning the first live webcast event in cooperation with its partner DSC Software AG. This event will provide valuable knowledge in the areas of Data Cleansing, Administration Shell (AAS) and automated data processes in SAP ECTR, with ECLASS playing a central role in all these areas.

At the ECLASS Congress 2023, Reinhard Pohn (Paradine GmbH), Uwe Beckmann and Michael Clever (both from Roche) will report on their global project at Roche and share insights into the successful implementation of ECLASS for material master data and assets.

The fact that companies using ECLASS avoid redundancies in product master data, in addition to other advantages of the standard, has long been known. But what about redundant structural elements within the Standard? For example, we find " Salad servers" both in segment 29 " Home economics" in class 29090401 and in segment 50 " Interior furnishing" in class 50100206.

The BMEcat format is established worldwide for the exchange of electronic catalogs. We have now published a revised technical specification for the full implementation of ECLASS in BMEcat.

In order to further strengthen the ECLASS Standard internationally and to represent the interests of the association and its members in a bundled manner, ECLASS e.V. increasingly engages in global and national standardization organizations. The joint standardization projects benefit from the exchange of expert knowledge and strengthen the level of awareness of ECLASS.
