The new release offers numerous new content in the segments of "Home Economics, Home Technology", "Construction Technology", "Electric Engineering, Automation, Process Control Engineering", four new submodels for the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), new content for the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and full translations in 15 languages.
Frank Scherenschlich is not only active as an IT service provider for his customers, but also as the head of various Expert Groups such as "Semifinished product", "Auxiliary supply, additive, cleaning agent" and "Public safety and military technology". He also supports a number of other Expert Groups in their work, such as "Sensors" or "Medical Devices".
In an era where "sustainability" covers a vast spectrum, from human rights to carbon footprints, there's a dire need for clarity and measurability. The ECLASS Standard allows companies to classify and describe their products and services consistently using one universal data standard. This empowers seamless data exchange, both internally and externally, in a digital and error-free manner.
ECLASS was invited to Brussels by the local representation of the German Economic Institute together with McLarty Associates to present how the ECLASS standard can be a viable addition to solve DPP integration.
How can functions and industrial production methods be described? In the Expert Group 25 “General Services” we are looking for support from experts and companies who can further advance the topic together with us.
For ECLASS Release 14.0, in addition to the detailed optimization in the field of sensors and in segment 35 (semi-finished products), we integrated the new AAS submodel “Technical Data” and the models for SBOM and VULNERABILITY.
By migrating to the AWS Cloud, the BETA and PROD phases could be processed much more quickly, so that we can publish the new ECLASS Release 14.0 as early as mid/end November 2023.
ECLASS Release 14.0 will provide full translations in 15 of the 17 languages available in ECLASS, reaching a new level in standardization. The subsequent Release 15.0, which will be published at the end of 2024, should already contain all EU languages available via DEEPL.
