For manufacturers, this means that if they want to remain competitive in the future and be present in the relevant sales channels, they should consider integrating ECLASS into their own data processes at an early stage. The requirements not only affect upholstered and case furniture in the living room and kitchen area, but also the so-called specialist range - including cooking and table utensils, home textiles and decorative items.
Over the past five years, the industry has worked intensively with associations and specialist committees on the introduction of ECLASS. The result: a solid foundation on which manufacturers can now build to make their product data future-proof and DPP-compliant.
