The ALPHA release includes significant content enhancements across multiple domains, ensuring more precise and comprehensive classifications for our users. Here are some of the key highlights:
- New content in segment 34 “Medical Devices”, i.e. the new main group 34-08 "Autopsy and mortuary" including:
- 34-08-01 "Autopsy requirements"
- 34-08-02 "Funeral and mortuary supplies"
- 34-64-02 "Autopsy room"
- 34-65 “Burial”
- Restructuration of main group 27-05 "Accumulator, battery", new classifications including:
- 27-05-10-01 Electric vehicle battery (Traction battery)
- 27-05-10-02 Light means of transport battery (Traction battery)
- 27-05-10-03 Industrial battery (Traction battery)
- 27-05-11-01 SLI battery (Starting, Lighting, Ignition)
- 27-05-11-02 EFB battery (Enhanced Flooded Battery)
- 27-05-11-03 AGM battery (Absorbent Glass Mat)
- New classifications in main group 36-43 "Compressor, ventilator, vacuum pump" including :
- 36-43-09-04 Axial fan
- 36-43-09-05 Radial fan
- 36-43-09-06 Diagonal fan
- 36-43-09-07 Tangential fan
- New group 27-18-04 "Control cabinet system"
During the BETA phase of ECLASS Release 15, more new content will be introduced by the expert groups, such as new properties for group 27-38-01 “Robots”.
From Release 15.0, ECLASS structure elements will be translated into nine additional languages, including Danish, Estonian, Greek, Latvian, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Ukrainian and Norwegian, in addition to the current 17 languages.
This means that ECLASS content will be available in almost all European languages. ECLASS will be the only data standard to offer a total of 26 languages, reaching over 60% of the world's population and covering both European and international markets.
ECLASS Release 15 is expected to be officially released until November 30, 2024.
