Get Ready for CDP 9.0 – Big Improvements Coming Soon!

We would like to inform all users of the Content Development Platform (CDP) and the ECLASS Webservice about a planned downtime due to the upcoming CDP 9.0 software release.

Deployment Schedule:

  • January 16–18, 2026: Deployment of CDP 9.0, including downtime for both the CDP and the ECLASS Webservice.
  • January 19, 2026: CDP 9.0 will be available with new features and workflow improvements.

Please note: Since the ECLASS Webservice requires login via the CDP, the Webservice will also be unavailable during this period.

What’s New in CDP 9.0?

The new release introduces significant enhancements to automation, workflows, and core functionalities for Change Request (CR) submitters:

Automation Enhancements

  • Automatic business rule checks
  • Automatic validation of permissible change request types
  • Automatic preparation of work packages for structural element owners
  • Simplified CR review within work packages

Workflow Improvements

  • Enhanced expert group review processes
  • Streamlined submission and rework of CRs

New Core Functionalities for CR Submitters

  • CRs are now organized into work packages and change processes.
  • Task lists display CRs requiring rework for improved visibility and efficiency.

Together with ECLASS member and IT Service Provider PARADINE, today we are publishing the new ECLASS Release 16.0: More than 155,000 change requests, 995 new classes, expanded material declarations for greater transparency, and AI-generated definitions for a future-proof database have been implemented in the new ECLASS version.
