D&TS and Fraport: ECLASS as the basis for efficient material master data

In its new success story, D&TS reports on the implementation of ECLASS at the operating company of Frankfurt Airport.

In the project with Fraport, ECLASS was established as the binding classification standard for material master data. D&TS supported the structured introduction, defined clear processes, and systematically implemented consistent classification.
The uniform semantic description resulted in a robust database across system and organizational boundaries.
ClassCOCKPIT Search builds on this ECLASS structure and enables precise searches for existing materials. Existing master data can be identified, compared, and reused more quickly. This reduces duplicates and makes creation processes significantly more efficient.
The project shows how ECLASS as a standard and a search solution based on it can together create measurable efficiency in material processes.
