What’s New? Key Changes at a Glance
The new workflow is divided into clearly defined phases and introduces new process steps to increase the quality and speed of standard development:
- Structured Bundling (Work Packages & Change Processes): CRs no longer exist in isolation. They are now embedded into Change Processes (CP), which bundle all changes related to a specific structural element. These CPs are then grouped into Work Packages (WP), which are directly assigned to the responsible expert groups (Owner Pools).
- Automated Quality Control: Automated validation mechanisms are now triggered right at the submission stage. Business rules and the eligibility of CR types are validated by the system before entering the review process. This reduces follow-up questions and manual correction loops.
- Maximum Transparency via Task Lists: Submitters now benefit from new, personalized task lists. CRs requiring revision (Status: REWORK) are immediately visible, enhancing transparency throughout the entire process.
A detailed documentation of the workflow from submission to release can be found in our Technical Support.
Benefits for the ECLASS Community
By automatically preparing work packages and utilizing system-based validation, the administrative burden on all participants—from submitters to experts—is minimized. The result is an even more dynamic and error-free ECLASS Standard.
