How to use the ECLASS search
Please first select ...
- whether you want to search ECLASS Basic or Advanced
- in which Release version you want to search
- in which language you want to search
- whether you want to search in the classes or for properties, values etc.
Then enter a search term (e.g. "pencil") and click on "Search".

| Definition | In solvent-based wet adhesives, the polymer is dissolved in organic solvents, and is thus applied. The joining takes place at a point of time at which there is adequate solvent in the adhesive layer to ensure wetting of the second adherend surface. Through evaporation of the solvent the adhesive hardens, which means it is tough at first and eventually solidified by the formation of physical interactions between the polymer chains.
