ECLASS offers you the opportunity to have a look at and search the latest ECLASS Releases free of charge. The search function is intuitive and allows you to get to know the standard in a quick and non-bureaucratic manner.
How to use the ECLASS search
Please first select ...
- whether you want to search ECLASS Basic or Advanced
- in which Release version you want to search
- in which language you want to search
- whether you want to search in the classes or for properties, values etc.
Then enter a search term (e.g. "pencil") and click on "Search".
Please note that the application of the ECLASS Standard requires a license. (see also ECLASS Terms of Use)

| Definition | Calcium sulfate (CA) grades are screeds whose binder is composed of calcium sulfate hemihydrate and / or of anhydrous calcium sulfate. Calcium sulphate dihydrate (gypsum) is produced by reacting with water. Due to the low shrinkage behavior, CA does not have the conventional bowls or later edge reductions for CT and can be laid over a large area with a small joint portion. They are installed as a screed or as a floating screed to be processed conventionally, can be walked on at an early stage and are resilient and relatively insensitive to drafts. CA are not water resistant and should not be subjected to continuous moisture penetration. They are therefore not suitable for use in commercial wet rooms (slope, drainage) or for outdoor applications. In domestic damp rooms (eg bathrooms), they are protected by a composite seal |
