ECLASS offers you the opportunity to have a look at and search the latest ECLASS Releases free of charge. The search function is intuitive and allows you to get to know the standard in a quick and non-bureaucratic manner.
How to use the ECLASS search
Please first select ...
- whether you want to search ECLASS Basic or Advanced
- in which Release version you want to search
- in which language you want to search
- whether you want to search in the classes or for properties, values etc.
Then enter a search term (e.g. "pencil") and click on "Search".
Please note that the application of the ECLASS Standard requires a license. (see also ECLASS Terms of Use)

| Definition | Cellulose from waste paper is felted in mills and mixed with various additives. The loose flakes are blown into cavities in the roof, wall and ceiling area, applied as a loose fill or wetted on. Pressed cellulose is used as a very elastic and dimensionally stable cellulose foam plate with polyolefin plastic fibers. Cellulose has good thermal insulation and storage capacity. Cellulose has a high resistance to moisture with a constant insulating effect. Cellulose is not permitted for the core insulation, in which permanent moisture is possible.
