ECLASS offers you the opportunity to have a look at and search the latest ECLASS Releases free of charge. The search function is intuitive and allows you to get to know the standard in a quick and non-bureaucratic manner.
How to use the ECLASS search
Please first select ...
- whether you want to search ECLASS Basic or Advanced
- in which Release version you want to search
- in which language you want to search
- whether you want to search in the classes or for properties, values etc.
Then enter a search term (e.g. "pencil") and click on "Search".
Please note that the application of the ECLASS Standard requires a license. (see also ECLASS Terms of Use)

| Definition | Hot melt adhesives - often also called 'hotmelts' - are solid at room temperature and are processed by melting. The hot melt glue is applied to the parts to be bonded and immediately joined to the second part within the open time. Immediately after cooling and solidification of the adhesive is the connection solid and functioning. This allows very fast cycle times in production processes and immediate further processing. For the hobbyist- and amateur users hot melt adhesives are available in form of glue candles (glue sticks) that can be processed with hot-melt glue guns.
