Successful start for the new ECLASS Board of Directors

ECLASS Semantics - Use of ECLASS in the Asset Administration Shell (AAS)
In the interview, Mr Scherenschlich explains the importance of ECLASS as a classification standard and the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) as a digital twin. The new specification shows how the ECLASS semantics can be effectively integrated into the AAS, supported by practical XML examples. In particular, the IDTA sub-model 'Generic Frame for Technical Data for Industrial Equipment in Manufacturing' benefits from this integration, offering significant advantages for digitisation and standardisation.
