The Asset Administration Shell (AAS) is the core standard for Digital Twins. Together with ECLASS semantics inside, the AAS provides the preconditions to realise data spaces for future value chains.

DPP4.0 - an AAS application for industry
Prof. Dr. Dieter Wegener
Vice President and Head of External Cooperation | Siemens Technology
The Ecodesign Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR) under the EU Green Deal will enforce a Digital Product Passport (DPP) for many products along their life cycles.
DPP4.0 is a concept developed by ZVEI to enable manufacturers to fulfill the DPP-requirements as well as to offer digital services for their products to any stakeholder in the market.
Technically the DPP4.0 is based on the Digital Nameplate and the Asset Administration Shell.
The ZVEI-Show Case illustrates how to calculate the CO2-footprint of a control cabinet by applying the DPP4.0-concept.
11:20 am
BCON² BEATS: ECLASS based BMEcat and AAS Generators
Dr. Christian Block
Head of Engineering | BCON² GmbH
Senior Architect | ECLASS Head Office
Using practical examples, we show how you can easily create BMEcat or asset administration shells directly in the web browser. Furthermore, we show how to reuse existing data and provide it via APIs.
