Product data efficiently shared – from custom structures to standards with ECLASS
Frank Scherenschlich
CEO | Class.Ing
Maintaining and providing custom structures and features is complex: defining semantics, translating elements, ensuring timeliness – and yet the question remains: Does the customer really need the custom data, or do they expect standardized formats? Ideally, throughout the product lifecycle?
This session will demonstrate how to map your own product data (structures, features, values) to the ECLASS classification standard, thus directly leveraging multilingualism, timeliness, history, and compatibility with other standards. The result: data that can be easily used in export formats such as BMEcat, GS1 XML CIN, Excel, or in the asset administration shell AAS – especially in the submodel Technical Data.
