Material declaration as the key to the circular economy

ECLASS/IDTA develops version 1.0 of the Material Dictionary

In the framework of the "circular economy", where we want to enable the traceability of materials and their reuse in the production cycle, the clear declaration of materials on products and their parts becomes an indispensable information requirement without which a circular economy is not possible. Inadequate information reduces the possibility of material reuse while maintaining product quality. The ECLASS/IDTA Joint Working Group "Material Dictionary" is therefore working on version 1.0 to make the "Total Material Declaration" available for every product (except services).
