From the very beginning, we have worked closely with ECLASS to promote data standardization and interoperability. From smaller PoCs in the field of sensor technology at Pepperl+Fuchs to larger joint projects in the context of artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technology, both sides got to know and appreciate each other. As a result, Neoception GmbH was accepted as a Preferred Partner Gold of the ECLASS IT Service Provider in the summer of 2024.
With the administration shell and the possibility to implement the digital product passport based on it, the partnership received an additional boost. The provision of standardized data is crucial to enable interoperability and, for example, to capture key sustainability figures across the entire value chain. Providing this data for each serial number in a product portfolio requires an automated and highly scalable solution.
This is where Neoception and ECLASS combine their strengths. The Neoception ® Digital Twin Infrastructure software product, a tool for the automated generation of standardized and contextual asset administration shells, uses the ECLASS standard as the basis for its rule-based configurator. This enables the provisioning of the administration shell for a variety of applications, such as the Digital Product Passport. At the same time, Neoception also recommends that its customers use ECLASS to standardize their own data and prefers to transform the data provided into the ECLASS standard. A first implementation of the DPP will be on display at this year's SPS show in Nuremberg, Germany.
While ECLASS (Hall 6, Booth 221) will present a first DPP template, Neoception will present the implementation of the DPP including the connection to source systems at the booth of the Industrial Digital Twin Association e.V. (IDTA) (Hall 5, Booth 358).
