You can only use Update Files if you are a user of the ECLASS Standard and have both a source Release 9.x and a target Release 10.x.

The TU files (transaction upgrade) for classes and properties contain the predecessor-successor-relationship of the changed classes and properties respectively in Release 10.x. In the several tables of the specific structural elements all absolute changes are listed, i.e.
- all elements and relations that are no more part of Release 10.x
- all new elements and relations and
- all elements and relations that have been changed and marked with a new version.

NEW: Additionally to the Update Files in .csv format that have been published since several Major Releases now, this product contains the following XML files as free-of-charge BETA versions:
- SDF (Structure Difference Files) show with the help of IRDIs, whether structural elements have been changed in the new Release, without containing information about the change itself.
- CUF (Classification Update Files) are XML files that describe the class update between two consecutive ECLASS Releases, i.e. first of all the changes concerning Move/Split/Join.
- TUF (Transaction Update Files) are XML files that contain information, whether a user’s property valuations in his system are still valid in the new Release and which changes can be processed automatically.

PLEASE NOTE: These files have not been tested with productive data yet. They were tested against all existing check routines, business rules and other automatic database checks of the ECLASS ContentDevelopmentPlatform (http://www.eclass-cdp.com), which processed the files. We therefore publish them as a BETA version and include them into the existing Update File without extra charges.
The use of the Update Files is only permitted in acceptance of the ECLASS Terms of Use. These Update Files and the pertaining files may not be passed on or sold to other companies without the permission of ECLASS. This also applies to their direct or indirect use in software products. Should the user wish to do so, a special agreement must be made with ECLASS. Commercial or other work for third parties with the help of the Update Files and the pertaining files is permitted if the user ensures that the third party is in possession of a valid license for the source and target Release.
