Release 15.0
Misleading “Preferred name” and “Definition” assigned to IRDI 0173-1#02-AAO676#005 “Product article number of manufacturer”
Due to a change request, misleading information in the “Preferred name” and the “Definition” were assigned to 0173-1#02-AAO676#005 “Product article number of manufacturer”. The misleading meaning only affects ECLASS Release 15.0, but unfortunately extends to almost all application classes.
The correct information for IRDI 0173-1#02-AAO676#005 is as follows:
- Preferred name: product article number of manufacturer
- Definition: unique product identifier of the manufacturer
How you are affected by this bug
- Since the IRDI of the affected property remains unchanged, the standard continues to be machine-readable and is not affected by the error.
- When implementing ECLASS Release 15.0, make sure to correct the preferred name and definition as mentioned, or use the ECLASS Release 14.0 information from IRDI 0173-1#02-AAO676#004.
With the publication of the next Release (ECLASS 16.0), the misleading information in “Preferred name” and “Definition” assigned to IRDI 0173-1#02-AAO676#005 will be corrected. The IRDI will remain the same, but with a new version number at the suffix.
