ECLASS 14.0 – Detailed optimizations and Asset Administration Shell

For ECLASS Release 14.0, in addition to the detailed optimization in the field of sensors and in segment 35 (semi-finished products), we integrated the new AAS submodel “Technical Data” and the models for SBOM and VULNERABILITY.

For ECLASS Release 14.0, small details have been optimized in numerous segments. After the extensive expansions to Release 13.0 and its use in companies, we were able to further improve the content in the sensor technology area (main group 27-27) and in segment 35 for Release 14.0 in a “fine-tuning” manner. In segment 35 (semi-finished products) content was consolidated and brought up to date.

But a number of details were also created for the Asset Administration Shell (AAS): the semantic elements were created by modeling the submodel “Generic Frame for Technical Data for Industrial Equipment in Manufacturing” (often abbreviated to “Technical Data”). These are already available with Release 14.0. In addition, the models for SBOM and VULNERABILITY were successfully implemented as part of InterOpera projects.
