Paradine and Roche at ECLASS Congress 2023

At the ECLASS Congress 2023, Reinhard Pohn (Paradine GmbH), Uwe Beckmann and Michael Clever (both from Roche) will report on their global project at Roche and share insights into the successful implementation of ECLASS for material master data and assets.

Paradine has been awarded a contract for the global implementation of ECLASS for a leading global pharmaceutical company in February 2023.

As part of a global ERP upgrade, Paradine was tasked with implementing ECLASS for the material master as well as assets.

The project includes global classification, deduplication as well as consolidation of all spare parts worldwide. The current focus is on more than 150,000 material master data, which will be implemented in multiple languages, as well as almost 650,000 assets. The roll-out will take place in several phases for locations in Asia, Europe and North America.

According to Reinhard Pohn, Managing Director of Paradine, the decisive factors for awarding the contract to Paradine were "Successful preliminary projects in several countries and continents, which impressively demonstrated Paradine's ECLASS and material master data expertise, as well as its experience in rolling out large material master data projects for systems of a major German ERP provider."

ECLASS reduces redundancies

The fact that companies using ECLASS avoid redundancies in product master data, in addition to other advantages of the standard, has long been known. But what about redundant structural elements within the Standard? For example, we find " Salad servers" both in segment 29 " Home economics" in class 29090401 and in segment 50 " Interior furnishing" in class 50100206.
