Planning and Executing Investments in Data Projects – Roadshow on Digital Transformation in Procurement, Parts Management, and Sales

How can companies plan projects and investments efficiently, standardize tenders, and sustainably digitize business units? As part of this roadshow, Class.Ing will demonstrate in practical terms how ECLASS as a standard lays the foundation for transparent, comparable, and automatable processes.

Class.Ing will show how companies can optimize their investment and spare-parts processes by using ECLASS-based data models—from requirements identification and tendering through to integration with ERP and/or PLM/PDM systems. Our in-house solution Class.Room not only supports article classification, it also enables:

  • mapping between multiple standards (e.g., ECLASS, ETIM, UNSPSC),
  • integration of standardized data into ERP/PLM/PDM systems,
  • automatic reconciliation of item data with manufacturer catalogs,
  • and the use of virtual products to significantly simplify the creation of new ECLASS-compliant items.

This paves the way from digitizing isolated processes to the digital transformation of the entire company—with measurable efficiency gains, improved data quality, and lasting transparency in investment planning.
